HELP!

Guys! Help! Jews! I don't know which Birthright organizer to go through ... they stress that the trip isn't necessarily "religious" and that the trips are geared toward those with perhaps a fractured or slight connection to their Judaism. But I can't decide which one to go on. I mean, there are the outdoorsy ones ... but I don't do outdoors. I mean, I want to experience outdoors Israel, but I'm not a rock climber or anything. Anyone have any experience with the trips?

(For those who don't know, Jewish youth ages 18-26 get a free trip to Israel that can last five to 10 days and includes lots of fun-having, merrymaking, and general development of a connection to Israel.)

It's kind of tough. I haven't really been able to find a lot of substance on the net comparing the programs. The closest I've found is this:

Okay folks! I settled on Aish (it's Orthodox-affiliated, but for the place I'm at right now in my Judaism, I think it'll be the most appropriate).

Here's hoping I "pass" the interview process!

Thanks for the help :)

Please post when/if you get accepted! I had considered doing an Aish or similar birthright trip, but wound up doing the URJ (Union for Reform Judaism) trip because my conversion was with Reform rabbis and I didn't want anything to get in the way between me and my trip. (Well, it did...but that's a different story.) During my interview, I think they asked me if my parents were Jewish and when I said no, it was seamless to the next question, "Did you convert?" I don't remember the exact question that followed, but I think I wanted to say a lot more than my interviewer felt like hearing! After I was all registered for my trip, I asked the birthright staff if either they wanted, or I should bring with me, any of the paperwork about my conversion. They said no, of course not. So imagine my surprise when El Al agents in the basement of JFK airport demanded it from me...
