Michelle Obama said it a long time ago and got plenty of crap for it, but for the first time -- in a long time -- I am truly proud to be an American. The changing face of the United States impresses and sustains us. And I don't care what you say, it isn't about race. Yes, he's our first black presidential candidate ... but my G-d, the man is inspiring. He is truly, truly the resounding HOPE that we need to move above and out of the present regime. And to that I say, Amen.
And for the love of Pete, go watch his speech.

Yeah, you needed a prepositional phrase with that participle (ie, "with pride, happiness"). Your own brand of English usage is almost Bushian at times ("bohemoth" especially).
Um ... no, I don't. It's a blog title. It doesn't have to be grammatically specific. The accuracy is there, and as an editor, I know it's fine the way it is. It would stand as a headline, no doubt, in a feature.
Sam, listen, if you're going to pick at me, then at least put your name with it.
You said you couldn't post on my blog anymore, so if you can't, then don't.
And if you do, make it constructive. Your tiny prods are not useful or necessary.
The thing is that you call yourself an editor, so I expect correct grammar, orthography, and pronunciation from you. "San Fransisco"? Come on, man. "Conscious" for "conscience"? This is constructive criticism, habibi. I am also an editor. I am just trying to keep you honest.

Everyone needs an editor, even the editor. I do the best I can, and sometimes Google's auto spellcheck fails me. Then again, I also have accidentally "added" words to the dictionary (like a bastardization of because) -- oops!
But no one is perfect, and if all you have to do with your time is pick at my grammar, then you're wasting your time. If you have discussions about issues or topics, that's one thing.
